Hello Reader,

It’s been a quiet season for me these last four months. After my last Pixel Wise email in September, I stepped back — partly to rest, and partly to listen for what wants to come next in my work and online presence.

A Guitar, My Mom, and Comfort

Interestingly, one of the clearest insights didn’t come from a website project. It came from selling one of my guitars.

In the listing on Sweetwater’s Gear Exchange, I wrote:

“I bought this guitar October 2022 to have here in the States while helping my mom through her cancer treatment. It brought me a lot of comfort during a tough time.”

There were three other guitars listed with almost identical specs — same model, same features. On paper, there was nothing particularly special about mine.

Four days later, it sold. The buyer wrote:

“Hi Yael, I was moved by your story and the comfort this guitar brought you. Very beautiful.”

He didn’t choose my guitar because it was technically better. He chose it because of how it made him feel. Without intending to, I had tapped into a core emotion: comfort.

The Feeling Behind Your Online Presence

The same thing is happening every day with your work online.

When someone is looking for support, they’re scrolling past what, from the outside, can look like a row of identical guitars: ten coaches, five energy workers, therapists, mentors, guides.

The “specs” are similar. The services overlap. Everyone is qualified.

What makes them pause on you — whether that’s on your website, your Instagram, your Facebook posts, your newsletter, wherever they first encounter you — isn’t just your credentials or modalities. It’s the emotion they feel in the first few seconds of meeting you online.

When you define that core emotion, it will shape and guide everything you create: your branding, your website, your social content, your emails. That one emotion becomes the thread that unifies your online presence so it feels coherent, intentional, and like a true extension of you.

Pixel Wise Reflection

If a favorite client finished this sentence after working with you:

“I finally feel ________”

What word might they use?

For a Deeper Dive

In my first Substack article of 2026, I explored this idea more deeply. If this sparks something for you, you can read the full reflection here:

One Emotion to Unify Your Online Presence

I’m glad to be writing to you again.

With love and warmth,
Yael

It was a deep dive into the very depths of my soul, and I’m so happy with the...

Hello Reader, As you may have noticed, I didn't send my regular monthly newsletter this month. I've been in a deep, reflective mood — sifting and sorting in my own life and in my business. Perhaps it’s an appropriate and subconscious mood shift as we head into the Jewish new year, Rosh Hashana, which begins...
