Hello Reader,

Can I be really honest? I have a complicated relationship with social media. I love the connections, the learning, the interaction. But I absolutely hate the constant formulas, the push to write for algorithms, and the endless cycle of self-promotion. It all feels so forced — like part of some never-ending game.

And maybe you’ve felt this too.

If you’re anything like me, you want to do work that inspires people, feels authentic to who you are, and attracts clients who value what you bring to the table. You’re not just trying to build a business — you’re working toward a life that feels good. A life that’s sustainable, thriving, and entirely you.

So how do you make that happen? I see people trying this approach:

The “Follow the Big Creators” Formula

You know, the ones who sell their magic formulas and flood your feeds with things like:

  • “I escaped the rat race 2.5 years ago”
  • “7 signs you’re undervalued at work!”
  • “Don’t be a boss. Be a leader!”

It’s all the same. Platitudes on billboards. People holding up whiteboards. A pod where everyone likes and comments.

And yes — it works for them. Because their business is built on selling you the dream that you, too, can be like them. But it’s not personal. It’s not meaningful. And it’s definitely not you.

A Better Approach: Amplify Who You Already Are

Do your own thing. Write about what you know. Share the lessons you’ve learned. Tell the stories only you can tell.

Over time, your confidence grows. You become more comfortable with how you write and how you think, letting go of the fear of judgment. Eventually, you’ll attract people who genuinely love what you do and the way you do it.

From there, you’ll begin building a personal brand that reflects your values, honors your experience, and grows alongside you.

So don’t just go through the motions on social media, chasing quick wins or easy growth by imitating the big creators.

Instead, amplify the person you already are.

Be you, at scale.

Creator in the Wild

Curious what this might look like in practice? Meet Charlie Maginness, founder of The Projector Movement. You won’t find him posting daily or even weekly on LinkedIn. In fact, he keeps things simple, sharing pieces of his life primarily on Instagram.

But if you’re into Human Design (and happen to be a Projector like me), you may find him on YouTube, where his thoughtful, niche content has carved out a space that feels both authentic and impactful.

Charlie’s approach flows naturally from who he is. Sharing from a place of passion and expertise, he reminds us that you don’t need to follow the “big creator” formula or be everywhere to succeed. Instead, by staying true to yourself, you can build meaningfully, connect deeply, and create a thriving business — your way.

New site launch

I’m excited to announce the launch of Meredith Woods’ new website. Though just beginning her journey into energy work, Meredith is already carving her own path by staying true to herself — much like Charlie Maginness.

One of the highlights of this project was the time Meredith and I spent uncovering her core values and weaving them into every detail of her messaging and website copy. Our goal was to reflect her — her story, her vision, and the unique way she shows up in the world.

The result? A website that not only beautifully represents Meredith’s energy work practice but also aligns deeply with her heart and purpose. It’s a digital space designed to grow with her business while staying authentic to her voice and mission.

Whether you’re just starting out, like Meredith, or years into your business, always remember this: When your online presence is rooted in your values and authenticity, it becomes a powerful tool for connection, inspiration, and growth.

Project Management – Over the years, I've used several project management apps. While many of them were powerful, they often felt overly complicated. That’s where Upbase stands out. It's a unique productivity tool that simplifies project management and daily planning, cutting out the unnecessary complexity found in many other apps.

With spring's arrival and all the feel good that comes with that, I want to leave you with one final thought — an idea Kim Doyal recently shared:

Imagine writing for the love of writing rather than for an algorithm.

It feels different, doesn’t it? Liberating, even. I’m still reflecting on how this idea fits into my own life and business, but there’s something about it that excites, energizes, even soothes me.

Maybe it’s a reminder we all need: to worry less about “performing” and more about creating for the sake of connection and joy.

I’ll leave you with that to ponder as we step into this new season.

Here’s to embracing the growth and possibilities that April brings.

Until next month,

Yael
