Hello Reader,
A recent client conversation reminded me of a truth too many business owners overlook — a website can’t fix a business that struggles to get in front of the right people.
One of the questions I ask during my discovery calls is, why now? Why are you looking to invest in your website right now? The answer to this is telling. It usually provides insight into what problem they think the website is going to solve.
No one updates their website just because. You're busy trying to run a business, so when it’s time to do the website, there is a reason.
But here's the thing:
Your website acts as an amplifier in your business.
If your messaging is unclear, it will amplify the confusion. If your offers don’t connect, it will amplify the disconnect. Your website will broadcast whatever you put into it.
So, if a website's primary job isn't lead generation, what is it?
Building trust.
The rise of AI in the digital space is making it hard for your clients to know who they can trust. Sadly, it’s at an all-time low.
This is your website’s superpower. When you understand how to build trust with your ideal clients through your website, your business will grow. Because people buy with their hearts, not their heads. And if your visitors can immediately trust you — it makes you stand out amidst all the AI generated noice.
So what does this look like practically?
It starts with having a crystal-clear understanding of who you serve. What are their likes and dislikes? What motivates them? And just as important, who are they not? There is gold in these answers.
If you’d like to explore this further, my Substack article, "Create a Homepage That Feels Like Home," helps you build a website that feels true to you and naturally connects with those you’re here to serve
When you truly understand your clients' problems, they will trust you to solve them. So the next time you think about your marketing, ask yourself: are these actions building trust or tearing it down?
A little inspiration. Chris Guillebeau encourages us to stop hoarding life’s treasures — be it time, experiences, or energy — and instead, boldly spend them. A heartfelt reminder that life is too short to wait for the perfect moment. Life is for Spending.

You may have noticed that this month's newsletter is a week "late." I could have rushed to stay on schedule, but I chose not to.
Sometimes life happens and guess what — that's okay! We don't always have to stay on schedule, do the thing, force ourselves into constantly producing.
Sometimes, naps, cuddles, and coffee are just what the doctor ordered! Which is why I write about building a business that honors our humanity, not one that forces us to sacrifice it.
Yes, in case you need a reminder, you can be both successful and whole.
Until next month,
Yael

Hello Reader, I'm writing to you today not just as a client, but as a partner in this wild journey of building a business with soul. Over the past few months, I've been quietly undertaking the very same process that we went through together. I finally took my own advice and invested the time to get my own messaging crystal clear, to align every word and every page on my website with the work I truly believe in. It was a deep dive into the very depths of my soul, and I’m so happy with the...

Hello Reader, As you may have noticed, I didn't send my regular monthly newsletter this month. I've been in a deep, reflective mood — sifting and sorting in my own life and in my business. Perhaps it’s an appropriate and subconscious mood shift as we head into the Jewish new year, Rosh Hashana, which begins...
