Hey Reader ,

In the last 12-24 months, many have declared the death of SEO, but is this true? I don't think so, but I do believe our traditional content marketing approach is.

Why? Because Google is no longer the primary or largest source of information consumption on the web.

Instead:

  • Social media is where your audience spends a significant portion of their time online.
  • Social media platforms are becoming the go-to place for discovering new products, services, and content.
  • And about 60% of Google searches end without a click.

Which means it’s no longer just about creating quality content on your website. You need to find your audience and engage with them in the spaces where they already spend their time. Join in their conversations, share your knowledge, and create connections.

And cast a broader but more focused net.

Here's how I see the heart of modern content marketing:

Your website is your home base. It builds credibility, boosts conversions, and showcases your expertise

Secondary platforms – think LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and even industry-specific forums – are fantastic for connecting, generating leads, and building your network.

In-person connections, yep, still incredibly valuable.

And, finally, collaborating with other solopreneurs or thought leaders in your niche can expose your work to a wider audience and boost your authority and credibility.

A website is just one piece of the puzzle. To truly connect with your audience and grow your business, you need to engage with them wherever they are – both online and offline.

What's your biggest content marketing challenge right now? Hit reply and let me know – I'd love to hear from you.
